Sixth: Services provided in the field of traffic licensing for means of transport

1 - Issuing a letter addressed to the Traffic Department for licensing the locally manufactured means of transport and trailers

Accomplishment Time :  Within 2 days from the date of submitting a fully documented application.

Documents required and executive procedures :

• Submitting an application in the name of IDA chairman to issue a letter addressed to the Traffic Department, indicating the product for which the traffic license is required.
-   The following documents are to be attached to the application:

1 - A copy of the industrial registry certificate, indicating the product for which the traffic licensing letter is required.

2- Full technical specifications of the means of transport and trailers, for which traffic licensing letter is required.

3- The catalogues (if available)

4- The application will be studied

5- Inspection of the producing company's factory to check production, paint and testing works and to ensure use of local components.

6- Payment of standard costs of letter issuance

7- A letter will be addressed to the Traffic Department to obtain traffic license.

• For cars assembled by using car body assembled as one unit, the following documents are to be added:

1 - Custom releases and import invoices of the car bodies assembled one time and the imported customs-released components of cars.

2- An approved statement of the manufacturing company indicating the main imported parts and the local parts.

• A field visit is to be paid to the manufacturing company's factory to check paints and testing processes in the company and to make sure of using local components of the same model.
